Tattoo Inspections
Jasper County Environmental Health Department has contracted with the Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) to inspect Jasper County tattoo establishments as licensed under Iowa Code Chapter 135 and Iowa Administrative Code (IAC) Chapter 641.22.
Annual Inspections
Iowa codes establish minimum safety and sanitation criteria for the operation of tattooing establishments. Licensed permanent, temporary, and mobile tattoo establishments in Jasper County must be inspected annually and as needed or because of complaints.
Questions & Permits
Permits must be obtained from the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (IDHHS) prior to operation. Please contact the Environmental Health staff at 641-792-3084 if you have any questions or need additional information.
