SUN, Sept. 22nd 1PM to 4PM Learn to throw pots on the wheel with Chris Noel! Perfect for beginners - Learn skills to throw simple forms that will be beautiful and usable. The class will focus on cylinders that can be turned into mugs or other objects. If you can already throw, you are free to make other forms.
After making your pots they must dry for several days & then be fired. After firing, you return to glaze your pots. They are fired again, this locks the color in place and provides that shine and toughness of stoneware. After the final firing, your pottery will be ready for pickup.
Price is $50 per person, including a $10 non-refundable deposit to hold your spot. Please bring cash/check to pay the class fee. All the steps required for your pottery are included: instruction, clay, trimming, glaze, 2 firings.
