Jasper County Health Department
Provides public health services for Jasper County, including:
- Communicable diseases and foodborne illness investigations, Epi Manual
- Vaccine for Children (VFC) immunizations ONLY VFC- who qualifies Appointments only, contact Kristina at kwinfield@jasperia.org
- Vaccine for Adult (VFA) immunizations ONLY. VFA - Who Qualifies Appointments only, contact Kristina at kwinfield@jasperia.org
- We do not provide private pay or insurance immunizations. Contact your physician for your immunization records.
- School and daycare immunization audits (scheduled with the organization).
- Public health education,
- Free condoms in the waiting area.
- Free car seat checks. (car seats, passenger safety, booster seats) Contact Melissa at mgary@jasperia.org.
- Environmental Health: subcontracted with Jasper County Community Development. Call for an appointment.
- We do not provide home care aides or homemaker services, but we have limited funding for low-income, senior residents. Please call Aging Resources to start the home care waiver process first.

Village Closet, Poweshiek County Public Health
The Village Closet is a way to support expectant mothers, caregivers, grandparents, and foster parents in need throughout their pregnancy and/or the first year of a child’s life with a range of free items, including diapers, bottles, car seats, clothes, toys, breastfeeding items and more.
