JASPER COUNTY IS UNDER A BURN BAN

Due to dry conditions, warm temperatures, and wind, a burn ban has been put in place for Jasper County.

NO OPEN BURNING IS ALLOWED AT THIS TIME.

These conditions allow fires to spread quickly and become difficult to control in a short amount of time. What starts small can turn into a large incident fast.

This includes:

Brush piles

Yard waste

Agricultural burning

Any open flames outdoors

Our fire departments are already seeing increased fire activity. Help us keep them available for true emergencies.

The burn ban will remain in place until conditions improve.

We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates.
