Contract Rock Hauling

Contract rock hauling begins Monday March 16th weather permitting.  Contract rock hauling will start in Elk Creek township or the area generally between Reasnor and Sully.  Once Elk Creek township is complete, contract rock hauling will move into Mound Prairie township between Newton and Prairie City and then continue into Palo Alto township south of Newton.  After Palo Alto is complete contract rock hauling will move into Clear Creek township at the northwest corner of the county and continue moving east through Independence (area around Baxter), Malaka, Mariposa, and then Hickory Grove township at the northeast corner of the county.  After Hickory Grove township is completed the schedule for the remaining townships will be established and an update sent out.  Anticipate mid-April for this update.
