Part-Time Paramedics

The Jasper County Sheriff is seeking qualified applicants to fill the position of Part-Time Paramedic. Selected individuals will operate response vehicles to provide or assist with medical incidents throughout the County. The projected work schedule is 12-hour shifts, 8 AM to 8 PM, scheduled pay will be $19.00 to$22.00 per hour based on selected candidate’s qualifications and experience.

Qualified candidates must currently be an Iowa Certified Paramedic with a minimum of one year of experience, current CPR certified required, able to work independently under stressful situations with multiple agencies in Jasper County, integrate with them as the lead provider or in a support role, ability to communicate and work effectively with all public safety agencies during a medical related situation with an emphasis on fostering teamwork and delivering quality patient care, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification and Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS) certification preferred, valid Iowa driver’s license required with good driving record,
