Maintenance Technician
The Jasper County Building Maintenance Department is looking for qualified applicants to fill the permanent position of full-time Maintenance Technician. This individual will assist with general maintenance and carpentry, grounds keeping and snow removal as required at various county buildings and properties. Qualified individuals must have a minimum of one-year experience in related field; (ex: electrical, plumbing and heating, geothermal, general maintenance and carpentry, lawn care and snow removal, and a valid Iowa driver license with a good driving record.
New starting rate of pay of $23.14 per hour with scheduled increases to top rate of pay of $29.39 in four years.
*Applicants with experience may start at a higher rate, based on experience
This position will include the County’s benefits package and IPERS retirement. Hours or work may vary based on the County’s needs and weather but a typically average 8 hours per day (7:00 AM to 3:30 PM), 5 days per week (Monday through Friday). Nights and weekends may be required based on emergency situations or weather.
